Orlando Ballet Presents “Arcadian Broad’s Wonderland: Mad Tales of the Hatter”
Orlando Ballet will present the world premiere of “Arcadian Broad’s Wonderland: Mad Tales of the Hatter,” April 26-28, 2019 at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. Orlando Ballet’s artist in residence, Arcadian Broad, composed, choreographed and will dance the lead role of the Mad Hatter in this production. There will also be live accompaniment by Central Florida Community Arts, along with new sets and costumes to complement this highly anticipated production.
Wonderland marks Broad’s second full-length production with Orlando Ballet, the first being “Arcadian Broad’s Beauty and the Beast,” which debuted in 2016. A triple threat, Broad is currently Orlando Ballet’s artist in residence, and at 16, became the youngest dancer Orlando Ballet has ever hired to join the professional company.
Audiences will find the Mad Hatter banished from Wonderland in 1920’s London, struggling to make it back to Wonderland in time to save Alice from the Red Queen’s curse. A sell out of this production is expected, so book now!
