Universal Orlando resort have announced the 3rd themed haunted house for the 2017 Halloween Horror Nights gore fest. It will be based around the TV series “Ash vs. Evil Dead” a STARZ channel series itself based on the 1980s and 1990s Samuel Raimi horror flicks “The Evil Dead,” “Evil Dead II” and “Army of Darkness.”
This newly announced house joins the 2 others already revealed, one based on “The Shining” and the other “American Horror Story: Asylum.” For the year HHN will feature nine haunted houses, five scare zones and two live shows – that sound’s like a whole lot of fright for your money!
The maze at the “Evil Dead” house will take visitors (victims) through Elk Grove, Michigan, where they will come face to face with “Deadites,” which are people possessed by a variety of evil demons.
The TV show and films the on more of a comedic horror genre, with main man Ash Williams battling his way out of one evil situation after another. The maze will be based on both seasons 1 and 2 of the series. This year’s event runs on select nights from Sept. 15-Nov. 4.
