I Think, Therefore I STEM – Edutainment at WonderWorks

WonderWorks Orlando is an amusement park for the mind with 35,000 square feet of “edutainment,” a blend of learning new things while having fun. On top of having over 100 hands-on exhibits that challenge the mind and spark imagination, WonderWorks also offers many special STEM programs events all year long.

WonderWorks’ WonderKids

The WonderKids program recognizes local Central Florida students who shine in and outside of the classroom. The Future Scientist award highlights students who live out each day as innovators and discoverers, and who hope to one day change the world with their passion for science. The Strength Through Adversity award goes to students who have proved that they can achieve their goals even during this demanding time.

FLO-ART

Young budding artists from all over the state are invited to participate in WonderWorks’ yearly FLO-ART art contest. The winners of the contest will have their artwork on display in the FLO-ART: Central Florida Youth Art Gallery for a full year, and the winners will receive free tickets to WonderWorks so each artist and their family can see their masterpiece on display.

There are plenty of ways to have fun and learn something new at WonderWorks! The upside-down house has 100+ exhibits and areas that relate to STEM concepts. There are plenty of ways to have fun and learn something new, from the Bed of Nails to the Hurricane Shack to the Astronaut Training Challenge. Young scientists and those who don’t even know they are learning will have fun and be amazed.

Celebrating STEM Careers

STEM careers are growing exponentially, and WonderWorks celebrates them all! More than 30% of Americans say they would encourage high school students to pursue jobs in STEM-related areas. With the help of mentors, teachers, Professor Wonder, and YOU— WonderWorks encourages young students to explore the fun of STEM careers. WonderWorks even highlights these careers and possibilities in a special exhibit featuring insights from astronauts, scientists, and more.
