Universal Update – It’s apparently time to grab a broom (a Nimbus 2000 of course!) and clean house at the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey attraction at Universal Orlando Resort. This makes a big change from flying around on them as the ride is actually going to close for 18 days from December 1 through December 18, 2016. That’s a bummer for family’s already booked with no prior knowledge of this development. It will be the first time a major refurbishment has been done since it opened and it’s raised a few eyebrows as normally these type of refurbishments are done after hours overnight..
A long standing rumor that has resurfaced multiple times is that Universal have been considering converting the ride to 3D as the identical ride at both the Hollywood and Japanese parks actually opened with 3D. This however has been denied by reliable sources close to the project – but then they would say that wouldn’t they…
