Orlando Ballet presents Bailamos! Join us in sunny Florida in February and join them for a vibrant evening of passion, flair, and Latin-inspired choreography. Set to sensational music that will have you swaying in your seats, immerse yourself in the passion of dance. Broaden your mind and enrich your soul with a lively production that will showcase the incredible versatility and athleticism of the Orlando Ballet Company Dancers, in a riot of color and a fusion of cultures! Featuring excerpts from Latin-based Ballets and fresh original choreography from Artistic Director Robert Hill, this production is quickly becoming a classic here in Central Florida.
A Decade of Excellence
The Orlando Ballet is “Celebrating a Decade of Excellence” from Artistic Director Robert Hill with its 2018-19 season at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. It features a combination of classic and new works, live music on several programs and original choreography. One of the biggest challenges the ballet faces, Hill says, is keeping it relevant to younger audiences. He does this by reinventing classic pieces, like The Nutcracker and Swan Lake, and inventing new and invigorating pieces like Bailamos!
