Deck the Halls with Basketball

‘Tis the season within the season for the Orlando Magic, as the team gets ready to celebrate with special holiday entertainment. The Magic are home for the holidays this year, with five games at the Amway Center in late December.  That means there’s magic in the air and the hustle and bustle of planning the holiday fun for the fans is underway.  During the holidays, the entertainment at Magic games goes to a whole new level!

Holiday Celebration

Rockin’ Christmas tunes will set the tone while Orlando Magic Dancers perform special choreographed routines in their festive holiday outfits.  The team’s mascot is the ultimate cheerleader when it comes to holiday spirit. Voted NBA’s back-to-back mascot of the year in 2016 and 2017, STUFF the magic dragon keeps the energy high with crazy stunts and skits.

The holiday celebration tips off on Wednesday, December 19 as the Orlando Magic host the San Antonio Spurs at Amway Center. The Magic look for their second win against the Spurs this season in their final regular season matchup against this top opponent. Then on Sunday, December 23, the Magic face their in-state rival, as the Miami Heat visit Orlando for a game at 6:00 p.m.  Seeing these two Florida teams battle is a can’t miss any time of year!

Classic Nights

Plus, this Sunshine State Showdown against Miami is one of several Magic games this year themed as a “Classic Night!” Want to learn more about the history of the team? All season long the Magic are celebrating their 30thanniversary season on Classic Nights. The nights will feature unique entertainment, music, videos and more that will instantly immerse you in Magic history as the team suits up in their Classic Edition uniform. With three decades of rich history, Classic Nights are the best way to experience the impact that the team has had on Orlando over the last 30 years.

Go Magic!

The holiday week rolls on with another game on Wednesday, December 26 versus the Phoenix Suns. Then on Friday, December 28, the one and only team from Canada will visit Orlando, as the Magic battle the Toronto Raptors at 7:00 p.m. that night.

The week at home ends with a special afternoon game on Sunday, December 30 when the Magic face the Detroit Pistons at Amway Center. On top of all the festive holiday entertainment, there’s added fun for the whole family including face painting, caricatures, balloon animals and more.  It’s just a little spice to add to everything nice this holiday season.
