Orlando Attractions Update – A state of the art Coca-Cola Store Orlando will open to the public Saturday in a prime location at Disney Springs, the company said Friday.
The design of the retail outlet’s structure is inspired by a brick 1920s Coca-Cola bottling plant and features an entryway that pays homage to the drink’s classic green-glass bottles. Inside is a 30-foot-wide blown-glass chandelier made from repurposed Coke bottles.
The store will feature an assortment of Coca-Cola branded merchandise, including a line of sustainable fashion apparel and of items created by women artisans. It is located in the Town Center section of Disney Springs, across the walkway from the under-renovation Planet Hollywood restaurant and near the complex’s Orange parking garage.
The Coca-Cola Store will be topped by a rooftop beverage bar. It will carry Coke products, including some regional ones such as Beverly from Italy and Thums Up from India. Specialty adult beverages will be available in the evenings, the company says.
Visitors will be able to meet the Coca¿Cola Polar Bear. Bear beginning in August.
Disney Springs is the re-imagined complex formerly known as Downtown Disney. Its Town Center section opened in May. Store that have debut since the grand opening include Shore, Trophy Room, Johnny Was, Free People, Sugarboo & Co. and Frontera Cocina restaurant from chef Rick Bayless.
