Mount Dora’s Polar Express

Who knew? Winding it’s way through the hills and along the lakeshore is Mount Dora’s very own Polar Express – just in time for the holidays and such an easy drive from the Orlando area! Visitors can head for the North Pole from the Royal Palm Railway Station throughout the month of December – this much loved magical story comes to life every time the train departs for a 1-hour and ten minute round-trip journey to the North Pole. Best of all families are encouraged to wear their pajamas for the ride!

Set to the sounds of the original motion picture passengers will relive the magic of the story as they are whisked along the tracks. Once onboard, hot chocolate and treats are served as passengers read along with the classic children’s book, The Polar Express, by Chris Van Allsburg. Santa and his helpers greet passengers at the North Pole and then board the train, where each child is given the first gift of Christmas – a silver sleigh bell. Chefs aboard each car lead passengers in singing Christmas carols on the ride back to The Royal Palm Railway Station.

The journey continues and runs through 12/30/2018 on select dates. Exact dates, fares and excursion times are available by calling (352) 742-7200, or by visiting www.TheFloridaTrain.com.

Ticket prices for children (ages 2-11) range from $28.48 and up, depending on date and class of service.
