More Creepiness For Halloween Horror Nights…

Orlando Attractions Update – Universal Orlando has announced more of its creative program for Halloween Horror Nights 2016, including three haunted houses, its five scare zones and two stage shows.

Five previously announced houses were based on existing horror franchises or films. The mazes announced Wednesday are from the Universal Orlando masterminds. They include:

+ Lunatics Playground 3D – You Won’t Stand A Chance — A walk through the imagination of Chance, formerly known as the sidekick of Jack the Clown and the icon for HHN26.

+ Ghost Town – The Curse of Lightning Gulch — A Western theme with “doomed souls” hunting for gold. Cue the thunder and lightning.

Universal released the themes of five scare zones, outdoor areas with “scare actors” roaming and spooking visitors. They include Survive or Die (Earth’s atmosphere has been ruined), Banshee’s Lair (another ancient world, hidden by magic vines?), Dead Man’s Wharf (strange fog, fishermen’s spirits, lost ship),  Vamp 1955 (Hollywood High School, fangs) and A Chance in Hell (Chance is locked up and recruiting inmates).

A new production called “Academy of Villains: House of Fear” with a “high-energy performance troupe of inmates” joins the stage-show lineup featuring long-running favorite “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure.”

The previously announced haunted houses will be themed to “The Walking Dead,” “Krampus,” “Halloween,” “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” and “The Exorcist.”

Halloween Horror Nights will run for 31 select nights at Universal Studios theme park from Sept. 16 to Oct. 31. For more information or tickets, go to HalloweenHorrorNights.com/Orlando.
