Louise’s Lowdown Is Your Inside Guide

Hi! It’s our first Louise’s Lowdown for 2023! We hope you all had some good celebrations bringing the new year in. In the first couple of weeks we have had some exciting new announcements throughout the parks and that rumour mill has certainly been working! (We live for that good speculation… as always if you hear anything, do drop me a line!)

The BIG news this week is the official opening date for Tron! April 4th can’t come soon enough, so we hope those who are travelling around this date manage to secure spots in line! I absolutely can not wait to hear your thoughts on it! Disney Parks uploaded a teaser video – the buzz surrounding this is unreal! Run, don’t walk to Tomorrowland for your seat on the semi-enclosed launched steel motorbike roller coaster! We have heard the seats will be very similar to those on Avatar, riders will be seated on individual lightcycles! (we are thankful there is no peddling!) Construction has been taking place for so long that this opening date is incredibly exciting!

Grab your ears and get your perfect viewing spot… HAPPILY EVER AFTER returns April 3rd! Don’t worry, you won’t be the only one crying during this! It has been a long anticipated wait to see it return, not that I don’t love Enchantment but it doesn’t hit your emotions in quite the same way!

Harmonious at Epcot will be departing on April 2nd to make way for EPCOT forever, picture it now… your favourite songs giving you that trip down memory lane the nostalgia is real!

Here’s where we can start some speculation… Bob Iger has come in like a hurricane, he really could be here to save the day! He has announced some new free stuff and trust me not much comes free at Disney! Complimentary parking for resort guests and free digital photos for those making use of the Genie+ app. With the announcement of earlier park hopping to commence at 11am instead of 2pm at Disneyland California – we are hearing that this could make its way to Orlando, so for those who are wanting earlier hopping to do the park challenge hopefully those days are coming soon, watch this space!

I’m jumping ships now and heading over to Universal to fill you in on the latest out of the Epic Universe changes! Construction seems to be making good progress with the recent aerial footage tweeted by bioreconstruct showing the sheer size of what is to come! We can clearly see the changes with how fast things get moving when it comes to the building of rollercoasters with the How To Train Your Dragon showing some serious development! Whilst we know that Universal are yet to confirm the lands they are creating I am almost certain that the rumours that have been flying around for sometime will prove to be true in due course! I can not wait to check out Super Nintendo World, fly me around the Donkey Kong coaster any day!

A feel good story I have been eagerly following at SeaWorld since last year has been about the Ridgway the dolphin who was found with his tail entangled in crab tethers around the Clearwater beach area! SeaWorld Orlando have been nursing him back to health and oh my what a fantastic job they have done. Ridgway has now been able to join the other dolphins to make some new friends in the Dolphin Nursery! Make sure to go say hello to him when you visit, he can be found in the Dolphin Cove at SeaWorld Orlando!

Busch Gardens this week announced the exciting 2023 line up for all the fun events they are offering! For those with younger children who are sometimes wondering if Busch is for them… 2023 brings us the Sesame Street Kids’ Weekends, we all love a character meet and greet forget the little ones you will see me having a selfie with Elmo!

I suppose if you want head for Busch Gardens without the kids to partake of some  delicious cocktail offerings make sure to get in soon and take part in the great Mardi Gras celebration! Not to forget Flo Rida dropping in during the BG Food and Wine Festival – are you wearing your apple bottom jeans to get low?

That’s it from me this week, as always… let me know your thoughts over on our socials!

Louise 😊
