Gator Week Returns With Free Gator Park Admission

It’s no secret that Wild Florida knows a thing or two about alligators. To share this knowledge and passion with their visitors, they’re hosting Gator Week, May 23 – 28, and offering free Gator Park admission to everyone who makes a small cash donation during Gator Week! All the proceeds raised will go toward the Wild Florida scholarship to help graduating high school seniors pay for college.

To many, alligators are viewed as fierce carnivores on the hunt, but that’s not the case. Like many misunderstood creatures, myths develop based on a lack of knowledge and a focus on fear. Because of this, we dedicate an entire week to educating guests, debunking common alligator myths, and developing a more positive attitude towards these reptiles.

Sam Haught, one of the co-owners at Wild Florida, commented, “Gator Week is back at full strength this year. We’re excited to feature family-friendly activities but with a few new twists. Our goal is to shine a different light on these incredible animals and hope our guests walk away with a greater appreciation for them.”

Each year, the Wild Florida team and Croc Squad brainstorm different experiences highlighting alligator behaviors that educate guests about these scaly animals. With gator jumpathons, a special prize for wearing Crocs, and an Alligator Day 5K scheduled throughout the week, these are just some of the highlights guests can enjoy during
