Universal Orlando announced the Epic Universe theme park will open in 2023. This much anticipated “fourth gate” at the Universal Orlando resort will join Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme parks and the very popular Volcano Bay water park – that’s quite a collection and Disney has definitely taken note!
The opening date for Epic Universe was revealed this week during a third quarter earnings call for Comcast, Universal’s parent company.
Universal Orlando Resort officially announced plans for the long-rumored addition back in August of this year. The all new 750-acre property will feature a theme park (surprise!) and hotel and entertainment district with a large collection of shops and restaurants.
Universal officials declined to narrow the 2023 opening date of Epic Universe to a specific month or season, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
