Orlando Attractions Update – The underwater tunnel for the under-construction Sea Life Aquarium in Orlando has arrived at its International Drive location.
The acrylic tube eventually will give visitors an immersive view of the attraction’s sea creatures. The animals will be seen above, below and around them. The tunnel, now being installed by workers at Sea Life Aquarium, weighs almost 9 tons.
Other elements of the attraction, which will house 5,000 aquatic inhabitants, will include touch pools, bubble tanks and floor-to-ceiling displays. at Sea Life Aquarium will be part of the I-Drive 360 complex, which also includes the Orlando Eye observation wheel and the Madame Tussauds wax museum. All three attractions are expected to open in spring of 2015.
