Visitors and locals can add a new activity to their itineraries with the Space Coast Office of Tourism’s new point-of-interest trails program. There are currently four active trails where participants can earn a “mission patch” by visiting a required number of participating locations for each theme. Patches are redeemed at the Space Coast Visitor Information Center in Cocoa Beach.
Fans may already be familiar with Launches and Lagers, a trail developed in partnership with the Space Coast Economic Development Commission. This pub crawl of local breweries showcases pairings of craft brews with names inspired by the space industry and local landmarks. Witness a rocket launch to complete the trail and earn a Launches & Lagers mission patch.
The America 250 trail, hits many historical and culturally significant landmarks from two national wildlife refuges and Canaveral National Seashore, to select museums highlighting the space industry and civil rights. This is a limited-time offering, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026.
There are two trails featuring museums and locally owned ice cream shops. The Space Coast Museums Trail includes 25 museums of all themes across the county, and a mission patch is earned after visiting at least seven. The Space Coast Ice Cream Trail mission patch is also earned after visiting seven of the 30 shops on the list.
Signing up is easy and free; simply scan the QR code on the trail page of your choice to begin. You can download the app, sign up for other active trails, and be notified as new ones are added in the future.
