Gather your crew for some fall fun on the farm in Florida’s Lakeside Escape! Get all the fall feels with pumpkin patches, petting zoos, festive games, and seasonal treats.
In addition to picking traditional pumpkins at Amber Brooke Farms in Eustis, guests can also pick their own sunflowers and zinnias. This is a great farm to visit with young ones, or just the young at heart. There are games galore: jump pads, a slide hill, family tug-o-war, and an archery range, to name a few. The whole family will be playing around at this annual fall festival.
The nearby Santa’s Farm hosts the annual “A Lot of Pumpkins,” with some iconic fall activities like tractor-pulled hayrides. There’s also a bounce pillow, mazes, pumpkin painting, and the Candy Queen tosses candy! Most of the event area is shaded by beautiful, large oak trees. Later in the season, families can cut their own Christmas trees at Santa’s Farm!
A long-standing tradition in the area, the corn maze at Great Scott Farms in Mount Dora is a fun family adventure. If you’re looking for a bigger challenge, night mazes are offered on select dates. There’s farm fun all over the place with a playground, jumping pillow, and a “super slide.” If you can get the kids to hold still for a second, there are great photo ops with vintage trucks, tractors, and a giant Adirondack chair.
Located in Clermont, Southern Hill Farms is a fine-tuned fall fun machine. Pumpkins, sunflowers, wagon rides, a kids’ zone, live music, and apple cider donuts are staples of the fall festival. This event has thought of everything so that you can focus on fun. There’s a complimentary pumpkin-holding area for your purchased pumpkins and gourds. You can check the score of the weekend’s biggest football games in the food truck barn. You could even get a start on your holiday shopping at the market offering lotions, soaps, candles, honey, and more.
Another annual fall event in South Lake County is the “Pumpkin Ponderosa” at Showcase of Citrus. You’ll find just the right pumpkin among their variety of orange and white minis, gourds, jumbo, and carving pumpkins. Guests will enjoy themed treats and beverages, decorative photo ops, and fall activities. During your visit, you can feed the animals, visit the gem mine, or shop at the Old Time Country Store.
