Blue Man Group is back – this summer sees the return of the brightly colored trio to their new home in Orlando! The show has opened inside the new Blue Man Theater on Universal Boulevard, next to The Orlando Eye, marking the group’s return after its former Universal Orlando residency ended back in 2021.
The ICON Park version lands with more heart than expected. All the familiar essentials are still there : big drums, lots of paint, plastic pipes, plenty of audience interaction, and three very quiet men trying to make sense of us without saying a word.
Built around a new technology and artificial intelligence thread, the latest production becomes a show about human connection in a world increasingly filtered through numerous screens, algorithms, and whatever new thing our devices are learning about us week after week. The strongest moments are often the simplest ones, when the Blue Men remind the room how strange, funny, and necessary it still is to be physically present with other people.
The new show runs around 90 to 105 minutes depending on the level of chaos 🙂 The purpose built theater seats around 500 people and was built specifically for the production – and the good news is that free parking is available in the ICON Park garage.
