Welcome to the tropical island paradise of Discovery Cove. At the cove, you can relax away from the hustle and bustle of traditional attractions, setting your own pace and not being overwhelmed by crowds – the capacity is restricted to 1300 guests a day.

Among those you will see, however, are the dolphins, tropical fish and rays that populate the local waters. Go in for a swim, or enjoy the warmth of the sun from on the white sand beaches.

When you need a break in the shade, why not take in the colourful aviary, filled with exotic birds that you can watch and even hand feed.

There is also a crystal-clear tropical river that you can ride down, viewing the creatures and underwater landscapes as you go.

Dolphin Lagoon (Swim with Dolphins)

Of all of the activities on the property, the dolphin swim experience is perhaps the most popular. Your experience begins with a session in a secluded cabana where you will participate in an introduction to dolphins in general, in preparation for meeting them in the water.

One of our trainers will then take you to Dolphin Lagoon, where you and (up to seven) others in your group will enter the turquoise waters to meet these beautiful animals.

You will get to meet and play with a dolphin for a full thirty minutes, including hugs and kisses, rubdowns and a one-on-one swim together through the lagoon. It is truly amazing.

Grand Reef

The Grand Reef is a great place for families to discover all manner of interesting and delightful things along the water’s edge – and even below the surface. You can walk a bridge with sharks swimming in plain sight below, amid thousands of colourful fish and sleek rays.

You can swim alongside toothy reef sharks, with an invisible glass barrier protecting you from harm – thought the thrill of the experience is still fully intact! Talk about your thrilling experience as you see even more wonders along the paths and bridges, hidden grottos and other islands there are to explore.

Freshwater Oasis

Freshwater Oasis® features wading adventures and face-to-face encounters with playful aquatic mammals like otters and curious marmosets. You can wade into the water, experiencing their habitat from an immersive standpoint!

The rainforest canopy above and the sparkling-clear springs below will ensure that Freshwater Oasis® is a seamless and exciting addition to your experience.

Free-Flight Aviary

Take a break from the sun and sand with a shady walk past the stunning waterfall to the towering Free-Flight Aviaries. Hundreds of exotic birds live there, and there is never a lack of exciting views. Many of the birds will even eat right out of your hand!

Wind-Away River

Ride a tropical river as it winds through the dense rain forest, beneath cascading waterfalls, past sandy beaches and even through an underwater cave! A relaxing way to have fun – and a fun way to take a break.

Laguna Grill®

Aquatica Water Park:

Experience Cutback Cove & Big Surf Shores – giant, side-by-side wave pools offering your choice of gentle swells or big surf. Busch Gardens Tampa is a combination of animal encounters and a superb collection of white-knuckle thrill rides and caters to a whole variety of tastes and age groups.The park officially features 8 roller coasters and 2 water rides amongst other rides and animal attractions. Its newest roller coaster, Cobra’s Curse, was opened in June 2016.
