More Theme Parks


Aside from the major theme parks that you've heard so much about there are a number of smaller parks that offer a great day out for people of all ages. Typically these parks have fewer lines (if any at all) and the whole experience is a little more laid back and not as physically demanding. Several of them are an hour or so away from the main resort areas but in each case they're well worth the trip.

Cypress Gardens

Cypress Gardens Adventure Park quiet simply has something for everybody and most of it is very good! From world renowned botanical gardens to daring, gravity-defying feats on ice and water, the park is able to blend both and it’s quite the combo!


Discovery Cove
With admission to Discovery Cove limited to around a thousand people a day (advance reservations only), those lucky enough to get in will have the interactive experience of a lifetime. A very high staff to guest ratio ensures you get lots of attention and our undercover reviewers were made to feel very special.

Kennedy Space Center
Kennedy Space Center
Budding astronauts and their parents will thoroughly enjoy a visit to the Kennedy Space Center - only about an hour from Orlando and well worth the drive. It comprises 70 plus acres of space hardware, artifacts from four decades of space exploration, lots of excellent exhibits and some superb film and video presentations.


Silver Springs
Silver Springs was definitely at the front of the line when Mother Nature was handing out raw natural beauty. The springs themselves are the source of the beautiful Silver River, a gloriously unpolluted glassy ribbon that winds it's way throughout the park and is home to all kinds of wildlife.
